Unlocking the Home

Grove Avenue, London

This refurbishment of a substantial Victorian terrace, completed in 2006, put a focus on unlocking the cellularised principle living spaces on the ground floor of the property in Muswell Hill.
The completed scheme has created an elegant family home with open plan living, study, dining and kitchen areas that enjoy direct views and a physical connection from the front to the back of the house. Design features include cooking and dining zones delineated by a bespoke cantilevered concrete work surface. Light floods into the now interconnected spaces via a combination of new roof lights and a frameless glass rear façade, allowing views to the garden and the sky.
